My name is William Fehrenbach and like many of you, enjoy woodworking. After years of working with power tools, I desired a more traditional and safe approach to the craft.  This sparked an interest in me for hand tools and wood joinery techniques.  A reputable woodworking store recommended the book, Woodworking Joinery by Hand, by Toyohisa Sugita.  After purchasing the book, I became both intrigued and challenged by the method.  Subsequently, I purchased a few of Mr. Sugita's commercial guides and saws.  Over the following months, we established a friendship and I decided to partner with Mr. Sugita in making his commercial guides and saws available in the United States.  Shortly thereafter, I traveled to Tokyo to learn under him which served not only to enhance my skills but to become more passionate over this unique method.  I hope you find Sugita's Woodworking Method as much of a joy and worthwhile approach to the craft as I have.
